Hi! I’m Tamia and I am a member of the Class of 2019 in the Economics Department. I am also pursuing certificates in Linguistics, African American Studies, and Theater (ambitious goals, stay tuned lol). I hail from Atlanta, Georgia, and I am primarily a vocalist, but I play the keys and guitar for arrangement purposes. Although I’m not from the Motor City, I have always appreciated Motown music and the legacy it has left for Black and African Americans’ ownership for music labels, production companies, and genres of art. One of my favorite Motown classics is “I Wish It Would Rain” by the Temptations.
